Laravel generate secure https URL from route

Passei uma dor de cabeça com a mudança de http para https no nginx, algumas funçoes ajax nao funcionava e nem datatables, mas apos horas de pesquisa achei no stackoverflow

A questão é que temos que definir o parâmetro do servidor HTTPS como verdadeiro e o método mais fácil é colar o seguinte código no método de inicialização do seu AppServiceProvider:

UPDATE: As pointed out in the comments, a simpler way of doing this would be adding URL::forceSchema('https'); for Laravel version between 4.2-5.3 or URL::forceScheme('https'); for version 5.4+ in the boot method of your AppServiceProvider file.

$this->app['request']->server->set('HTTPS', true);

No meu caso, só preciso forçar o SSL na produção, o env local ainda deve funcionar em http. É assim que eu forço o SSL apenas na produção:

$this->app['request']->server->set('HTTPS', $this->app->environment() != 'local');
